House Of Voids
Amritsar, Punjab20203,400 sq ftPhotography: Shubham Sharma

Within a constrained urban plot, the house presents a solid and unassuming exterior that opens into a vibrant, light-filled interior. The design strategy revolves around "puncturing" the building mass with green spaces and courtyards.
These voids act as necessary punctures, allowing porosity between interior and exterior. A material palette of brick, stone, concrete and wood is arranged for a raw richness that is tactile and present, while clerestory windows draw natural light deep into both floors.
