Residential Architecture

Perennial House

A residence that contrasts sharply with typical neighbourhood dwellings — organised around a central open-to-sky courtyard so that spaces flow into one another while retaining their function.

On a narrow 26' × 62' plot, the design turns inward toward gardens, trees and pet-friendly courtyards, prioritising climate resilience and a quiet, green retreat from the city.

Residential Architecture

Vault House

A serene retreat for a retired couple, defined by a 45-foot vaulted roof that sweeps from the front facade to the southern terrace — bathing the interiors in light through every season.

Double-height cutouts in the slab create dynamic visual links between floors, while a long L-shaped garden wraps the north and east facades around the site's mature trees.

Talaab House

An eco-conscious home for a client engaged in organic farming on a 10-acre property — designed around a 3,600 sq ft rainwater pond and rammed-earth walls built from excavated site soil.

Flat brick domes laid with traditional techniques cut cement use by 65% and remove 1.1 tons of steel from the roof slab, made in collaboration with local masons.

Our Philosophy

Sifti Design Studio was founded by a group of young professional architects in the year 2018. After working in collaboration on various projects of different scales in Delhi for 3 years, we decided to officially establish our firm in the city of Amritsar.

Our aim is to make creative designs and build projects which are close to nature, aid in creating a better living environment for people, and contribute to changing the outlook of Indian residents about the architectural landscape of the country.

Our Approach

Through an iterative design process, the firm aims to address 4 principles: creativity, sustainability, efficiency, and significance. By approaching the design problem creatively we intend to produce simple but distinctive works translated through architectural form, spatial structure, material, and spatial technology.

Our occupant-centric design approach tries to create awareness towards designing buildings that are sustainable. Addressing the surrounding environment, weather conditions, and material availability, we intend to create spaces for users which provide comfort and an area for enjoying their surroundings.

How We Work

Our Process

01

Discovery

We begin by reading the site — its climate, orientation, soil, vegetation and the rhythms of the people who will live there.

02

Strategy

Brief, budget and context converge into a clear design strategy: massing, material logic and a narrative for the project.

03

Design

An iterative process of volume, geometry and material studies — refined through drawings, models and close collaboration with consultants.

04

Launch

On-site execution with trusted contractors and artisans, through to photography, documentation and handover.
